When Water Lines Burst - Call SERVPRO of Pickens County
This home flooded after the main water supply line ruptured. Unfortunately, the homeowners did not notice, until after the hardwoods had begun to swell and separate. Unsure of what steps to take next, the homeowners contacted SERVPRO of Pickens County.
When we arrived at the customer's home, we conducted an initial inspection. The damage had spread throughout the main level flooring. The kitchen, living room, laundry room, bathroom, and entrance hall sustained the most damage. We moved all of the customer's furniture and keepsakes out of these rooms and into a storage pod. Next, we set up containment and began demoing the hardwood floors in these rooms. Then, we set up several air movers and dehumidifiers to dry out the areas. The home was dried out after several days. Now the restoration team can begin working!
